To the extent you want to include the Rocket League name or logo in your tournament title, you will need to use the “Featuring Rocket League” logo. You cannot use the Psyonix Assets in a way that could cause people to believe that your tournament is an official Psyonix production or that it has been endorsed or approved by Psyonix. You can use the Rocket League name, logos, screenshots, and key art available here (“Psyonix Assets”) to generally market and promote your tournament provided, however, that your use of the Psyonix Assets must at all times be consistent with Psyonix’s Rocket League Community Tournament Brand Guidelines (“Community Brand Guidelines”) found here. Charging an entry fee for the venue is allowed, but competing players must be allowed to participate in the competition for free. The total compensation awarded to players and/or teams at your tournament (including, for example, prize money, non-cash prizes (such as gaming hardware or equipment), travel and lodging expenses, appearance fees, etc.) is not greater than $15,000.Īll tournament prizing must be set in advance, must be clearly stated in your tournament rules, and cannot be a function of, or otherwise be dependent on, the number of participants for your tournament. You cannot create, market, or sell merchandise of any kind (including intangible or digital merchandise) in connection with your tournament that features any Psyonix asset. You cannot conduct or promote betting, wagering, or gambling on any match at your tournament, or benefit, either directly or indirectly, from betting, wagering, or gambling on any match at your tournament. Your tournament cannot include any marketing, promotion, endorsement, or sponsorship of any of the entities, products, or services on the following list: (i) drugs or drug paraphernalia (ii) tobacco or tobacco related products, including vaping products (iii) alcohol (iv) energy drinks (v) firearms (vi) pornography or any other adult-only materials (vii) automotive companies (viii) cryptocurrencies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or any other blockchain-related product or service (ix) any business (A) whose content is discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise hateful in nature, or (B) whose practices are detrimental to the image of, or results in public criticism of or reflects badly on, Psyonix (x) any business that encourages illegal activities or violates applicable law (xi) gambling products (including fantasy sports betting), lotteries or illegal wagering (xii) any business that promotes (A) the use of in-game hacks, cheating, exploits, or in-game currency farming or selling, or (B) the sale, rental, licensing, distribution, or transfer of a game account (xiii) political candidates and (xiv) high toll phone services. This amount includes, among other things, contributions provided in the form of prize money, purses, salaries, non-cash prizes (such as gaming hardware or equipment), streaming platform revenue, sponsorship revenue, crowdfunding, and all other items of value (cash and non-cash). The total contributions that you can receive from sponsors in connection with your tournament(s) is $50,000.
You cannot restrict the viewing of your tournament behind a paid purchase requirement of any kind. You can record and stream your tournament via an online streaming platform (e.g., Twitch, YouTube, etc.), but you cannot broadcast your tournament on linear television. Maximum value of compensation (streaming platform revenue, sponsorship revenue, and all other forms of revenue, either in cash, products, or in-kind) is under $50,000Īll players must be at least 13 years old (or such other age, if greater, as may be required in such player’s country of residence) Prize pool & appearance fees are under $15,000

If your tournament complies with the following guidelines, you are permitted to run your tournament under our Rocket League Community License (“Community License”) and you do not need to apply for further approvals except as otherwise stated in the Community License. We wish to encourage the competitive community to continue hosting amazing tournaments and creating more of our favorite moments that will remain a pillar of the Rocket League Esports community.
